I have a couple of layouts to share using "Shine Bright" from Kaisercraft. It was a new release for February and without a doubt it's my favourite Kaisercraft collection ever. I could marry this collection. Seriously.
"Shine Bright" has everything I am loving right now- yellow, black, white, grey with triangles, scripty words, text and bold graphics.
I only had a few sheets of paper to work with but I put them together with a few die-cuts from the Collection Pack, white cardstock for my backgrounds and got to work.
For my first page, I scribbled down some yellow Gelato and blended it out with water to create a watercolour look (super-easy and fun), wound up a blob of white thread which stuck to the wet Gelato, and then built my main foundation layers on top in my usual style. I bent up the edges of my papers to add some texture and dimension. I added a paper doily from my stash and some ink splats.....as you do ;-)
My next layout is in 8.5x11" format- one of my favourite sizes to work with- and I created a simple grid which I felt suited the graphic patterns in the papers. Some ink splats and machine stitching were the only things I added to the papers and die-cuts.
So there's two completely different looks, but still in a style that come easily to me, and I have enough little scraps of paper left to make another page.
I need to get more of this collection before it sells out everywhere!
