Project Life Week 13

I'm back to normal with a two-page PL week and it's Seafoam's turn.  It was nice to get back in the swing of filling two pages with more detailed journalling about our week and a few extra snapshots that wouldn't have made the cut in a single page week.

The only extra embellishment this week was a diecut from Chic Tags- they have lots of awesome free cut files ;-)

Here is the LHS.....

Here's the RHS.....

And here's the entire week.....

A little note for all my local Perth readers- there are still limited spots available in my very popular 3x3 class at Tomorrow's Memories this Thursday.  Phone the shop on 9279 2183 for all the info.

Layout Share | Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm

Hi all!  Just a quick layout share today.  This page is super-simple and came together in around 10 minutes- gotta love that ;-)

I've used Dear Lizzy's Lucky Charm Collection and picked out papers and elements that co-ordinated with the colours in my photos.

Super-quick and easy!

Project Life Week 12

Another single page week using Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party for Week 12.  Once again it was a pretty dull week as I slowly get back on my feet after being in hospital.  These single page weeks come together very quickly and that suits me perfectly right now ;-)

Here's Week 12.....

See you next time!

Here's a quick layout share using Basic Grey's Oliver Collection.  It's been around for a few years and I can remember not being able to resist buying the whole collection- my eldest son in also called Oliver!

Thanks for stopping by :-)

Feeling Sketchy | Inspiration Post

I am over at Feeling Sketchy today with a short video demonstrating a really fun technique using inkpads and masking tape. I'd love for you to come on over and check it out :-)

Project Life Week 11

Another single page PL week for me.....kinda loving how fast it is to put together a single page but truth be told, there just hasn't been a lot going on!

This week I used the Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party Mini Kit and once again didn't add any embellishments- clean and simple :-)

Here's Week 11.....

Thanks for stopping by :-)

Life Paper Scrapbook | March Mood Board

Our sponsor for this challenge is Mei Li Paperie.

Based out of Hong Kong, Mei Li Paperie is the world’s newest online scrapbooking shop. Shipping worldwide, they strive to bring everyone the latest scrapbooking supplies no matter where you are. With low shipping rates (free for orders over $50USD!) their goal is to get you what you want when & where you want it… not six weeks later! They are the answer to those long wait times and crazy shipping fees that have plagued international scrapbookers.

Our prize this month is a US$35 Gift Card to spend in the Mei Li Paperie store.

We have a gorgeous March mood board this month- it's organic colours and botanical theme are beautiful and I knew immediately which products I would be using.

I recently designed a class using a new collection coming soon from Kaisercraft and I knew the leftovers would be perfect!

I used every last scrap I had from those papers and added a few little bits and pieces from my stash for some extra details.

Be sure to head over to LPS for all the challenge details and for lots of inspiration from the other Design Team girls :-)

Project Life Week 9 and 10

My little old blog has been a bit neglected of late.  Posts you've seen recently were scheduled quite some time ago.  I've not been well.  I've been fighting a battle with an illness for a long time, but lately the illness has been winning.  I've been in hospital but could only stay a week due to Hub's work commitments.  I'm trying to take it easy and slowly catch up on scrapbooking and cardmaking DT work.  Project Life was the first thing to slip, but today I completed Weeks 9 and 10 with simple, no-fuss single page layouts using the Midnight Edition.  I didn't put any pressure on myself to get "caught up", I just decided that today was a lazy at-home day and after some chores I felt the urge to do some PL.

Here's Week 9.....

And here's Week 10.....

It broke my heart to have to miss Master 7's Swimming Carnival but was so very thankful that Hubs got to attend and support the little guy while also snapping some photos and recording some video.  I think Hubs got swept up in the excitement- you can hear him cheering very loudly on the video :-)

Feeling Sketchy | Sketch #84

It's challenge time again at Feeling Sketchy and
this challenge is sponsored by Molossi who very generously offer a $30 chipboard and bling prize pack for the monthly winner.

We are also proud to welcome The Trinket Track as a sponsor for our March challenges.

Here's a little word from Monica from The Trinket Track.....

My name is Monica and I have been an avid papercrafter for 9 years.
Beginning with scrapbooking, I have been extremely fortunate
to be part of many design teams and creative teams in the industry, as well
as having many publications in Australian Scrapbooking Memories magazine,
Scrapbook Creations and Creating Keepsakes.
I became interested in card making after buying my first Magnolia stamp
just over 2 years ago - from that day on I was hooked!!
In 2011, I began to make and sell my own handmade goods but my main
objective has always been to open up my own store
so in September 2011 The Trinket Track was born!
I have many plans for my little store.
The main one being of course, to expand the amount and variety
of products and include both sourced materials as well as
handmade stock.
I source popular on "trend" items as well as old favourites and
sometimes, something a little different.
We buy directly from the supplier which means we source our product
in large bulk quantities keeping the cost down!
We also offer no bulk shipping for national and international
customers. This allows us to offer you a low price on postage costs.

We are based in Brisbane, QLD and always welcome
customers who wish to pick up their parcels!

2014 will offer great changes to the store!
Happy crafting!

Ok so here's Sketch #84.....

Here's my take on the sketch using lots of distress ink for my backgrounds and Faber-Castell Big Brush Pens to stamp my images and then to watercolour them.

I hope you'll try this sketch and be sure to link up your creation at Feeling Sketchy for a chance to win a terrific prize.

Ok so here's Sketch #83.....

I'll be honest- I struggled with this sketch.  I am a scrapper who LOVES using sketches, but this one had me bamboozled.  So I decided to modify it to suit my natural style a little better but I think I created a page that still captures a lot of the features of this sketch.

I used supplies from October Afternoon "Road Map" Collection and small alphas from Cosmo Cricket and moved some of the sketch's elements in order to create a more vertically aligned page.

I hope you'll try this sketch and be sure to link up your creation at Feeling Sketchy for a chance to win a terrific prize.

Scrapbook Generation Blog Hop

Welcome to the SG Blog Hop for March! If this is your first stop, you might like to start at the Scrapbook Generation Blog and then hop through each link.

I found a great sketch in the Scrapbook Generation Online Shop and here is the page I created using supplies from Cosmo Cricket's "The Boyfriend" collection.

You can find the SG sketches in their books and as downloads in the SG store, and there is a free one every month in case you wanted to try it out.

Leave a comment on each blog in the hop and one lucky commenter will receive a free sketch bundle of their choice from the store. The winner will be drawn on March 10, so you have one week to leave a comment.

Next on the hop is Tina.

In case you get lost at any point, here is the list of all the participating blogs:

Life Paper Scrapbook | March Sketch

It's time for another sketch at Life.Paper.Scrapbook and this month's sponsor is Scrapbook Circle,  a monthly kit club committed to bringing you the newest scrapbooking products delivered right to your door.

Here's a little word from Lisa at Scrapbook Circle....

Ever since I was young, it has been important to me to document the stories of my life. From the time I received my first camera when I was eight years old until now, taking pictures and organizing them to tell stories has been an important part of my life.
In 2006 my dear friend, Crystal, and I decided to share our love of scrapbooking with others and we started Scrapbook Circle. It has been such a fabulous adventure to get to share our passion for preserving memories with others. After about a year and a half of running Scrapbook Circle, Crystal decided that she needed to focus more time on her family, so she turned her responsibilities over to me.
It is such a blessing to be able to preserve my family’s memories and I’m sure you feel the same way about preserving your memories.
Lisa Andrews

Here's the sketch we're playing with.....

I pulled out some supplies from Amy Tangerine's Sketchbook Collection and created this page about my big boy and how sometimes you need to give new things your best shot to see what you are truly capable of.

I used a cut file from the Silhouette Online Store to create my title down the bottom and rather than glue all those fiddly bits, I stitched them down.

I hope you will pop on over to LPS for more inspiration from the Design Team and for all the challenge details.

Ok so here's Sketch #82.....

Of course my first thought was to go nuts with some washi tape, but that would have been too easy!  Instead, I drove myself bonkers with some stamping and masking to create a "faux-weave" effect.

I used stamps from two Avery Elle sets - "To the Point" and "Picture It", Stampin' Up Inks and some Kaisercraft rhinestones.

I hope you'll try this sketch and be sure to link up your creation at Feeling Sketchy for a chance to win a terrific prize.
