Project Life Weeks 31 & 32

Here's another pair of single-page weeks, this time using the Slate Edition.  Week 31 was a slow week but Week 32 was quite full.  This left me with a bit of a dilemma- do I do a single page for Week 31 and then do two pages for Week 32 even though they wouldn't be facing each other and would have to use two different core kits?  I decided to cram Week 32 onto one page and simply record the main highlights on a journalling card- PHEW! Crisis averted ;-)

Here is Week 31.....

And here is Week 32.....

And for those of you who are into motorsport, my Husband came 11th in Targa West :-)

Life.Paper.Scrapbook | August Mood Board

I had some time this morning to scrap again and this time I used the Life.Paper.Scrapbook August Mood Board for inspiration.

I loved the chevron pattern on the blanket - I am currently crocheting a chevron blanket too! I used patterned papers from the Studio Calico Atlantic Collection that featured chevron as well as some of the mood board colours. I also loved the pattern on the rug and used a stencil with a similar pattern with gold mists on my layout.

]And yes, I made a 8.5" x 11" page.....I love the smaller format for a change once in a while :-)

Life.Paper.Scrapbook. | August Sketch

I was in the mood to scrap but the mojo wasn't flowing.  I needed a sketch so of course I headed over to Life.Paper.Scrapbook for inspiration!

Here is their August sketch.....

I grabbed some photos of Heidi Swapp and me from her trip Down Under last year and together with some of her yummy products I had leftover from her workshops, I came up with this.....

I am so glad I was able to scrap today- it's been too long!

Here's Sketch #99.....

The spots on the sketch reminded me of confetti so I combined diecut stars with gold glitter stitched under a piece of transparency to make a confetti pocket.  I stamped a banner and sentiment from Avery Elle in Versamark ink and gold heat embossed it.

Be sure to pop over to Feeling Sketchy for more inspiration from the DT and for all the challenge details.

Project Life Weeks 29 & 30

I considered stretching out each week into two-page spreads but right now life is pretty routine (although busy) and single page spreads tell the story while being very quick to put together. I've used Seafoam for these two weeks and there are no added embellishments.

Here is Week 29...

And here's Week 30...

Thanks for stopping by!

Layout Shares | Kaisercraft Mix & Match

I have just done some shop samples for Tomorrow's Memories using the new Mix & Match Collection from Kaisercraft and thought I'd share them here too. This is a really versatile collection and I just love the combination of black, white, red and kraft.  For those of you who have followed Made at Number 27 for a long time, you might notice that the white lace doilies on kraft in this collection look just like my first logo and business cards!

I had some Teresa Collins scraps from a previous project sitting on my desk, so all I had to do was stitch a circle, add some twine and stamp a sentiment- easy peasy!
