Project Life Weeks 25 & 26

I'm sharing Weeks 25 and 26 today- both single page weeks that face each other in my album.  I've used the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm Collection from AC Digitals for both pages.  Life is pretty routine around here at the moment with nothing much to report so I am finding single page weeks quite easy and I don't find myself struggling for content like I would for a double-page spread.

Here is Week 25.....

And here is Week 26.....

Project Life Week 24

I'm a bad bad blogger!  The dreaded winter lurgy has had it's hold on me for about three weeks now and some days even sitting at my desk crafting or blogging is just too hard. However, I'm only a week behind with PL and today I can share Week 24. I probably could have used a single-page format again, but it would have resulted in a very photo-heavy page with no room for journalling. I used the Kraft Edition Kit this week and added two white cut files from Chic Tags.

Here is the RHS.....

Life Paper Scrapbook | June Mood Board

It's time for our June Mood Board challenge and this one is sponsored by Um Wow Studio!

UmWowStudio is a family owned business out of Las Vegas, NV. Their production is specialized in laser cut chipboard embellishments and masks for the paper crafting and mixed media community.

They are providing an awesome prize for the winner of this challenge!

Here is the gorgeous board sure to inspire you.....

I wanted to use the navy, aqua and red from the board and the layers of ledger paper inspired me to bend all the edges of my papers up.

I set to work with October Afternoon Daily Flash All Boy papers and some photos of Master 3.

Be sure to head over to the LPS Blog for all the challenge details and to see all the DT's super layouts.

Have fun creating, we can't wait to see what you all come up with. If you share your work on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter make sure you tag us #lpsmag.

Project Life Week 23

Winter has well and truly arrived here in Perth but we've had a mixture of winter rain and clear crisp days. We've been  taking advantage of the clear days to visit our local parks and playgrounds before the rain returns.

This week I used one of my fave PL kits, the Jade Edition, and made a two-page spread.  I added one little wood veneer shape from Studio Calico's Sundrifter Collection to a title card I re-sized to 3x4 to use as a filler card.

Project Life Weeks 21 & 22

Weeks 21 and 22 are single page weeks and they sit facing each other in my album.  I used Honey for both pages but picked out different colours from the kit to differentiate the two weeks. Week 21 is predominantly red and blue while Week 22 has oranges, yellows and greens.

Here's Week 21.....

And here's Week 22.....

Scrap the Boys | June Challenge

I've recently discovered a great challenge blog all about scrapping the boys in our lives- Scrap the Boys- right up my alley.  Their June Challenge is all about using large photos on a layout.  I have a few 5x7 portraits of my boys laying around- school photos etc- and I decided to scrap this portrait taken at Sam's daycare last year.  I can't believe they got him to smile- he usually either pulls a silly face or has a stunned expression whenever I try and snap a headshot.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the title which is available in the Silhouette Online Store.  I used the Knee Highs & Bow Ties Collection from Basic Grey to go behind my title and to embellish my photo.  I stuck with my usual clean and simple style to keep the focus on my gorgeous boy.

I love how this turned out and I must remember to use my Silhouette for title work more often :-)

Life Paper Scrapbook | June Sketch

We have a new sketch challenge at Life.Paper.Scrapbook......

I set to work with papers and embellishments from Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic and a photo of the removalists' truck on the day we moved out of our family home of twelve years.  Sadly, it was one of very few photos taken that day- I guess we had our minds on other things!  I loved this sketch so I followed it pretty closely.

Here's the layout sketch we're playing with.....

I started by making a grungy background using spray inks and White Gesso.  I stamped some "splats" with a stamp from Kaisercraft and then built my page using leftover scraps I had from Carta Bella's "Rough & Tumble" Collection.  Some machine stitching finished the page.

The photo is of my husband competing in last year's Targa West event in the race car he fondly calls "Betty White".  His other car is called "Black Betty" ;-)
