I'm back with another layout using the May "Sweet Treat" Scrapbook Kit. This time I'm back to a 12x12 format and have used a simple grid design for my two landscape-oriented 4x3 photos.  

I just love all the gold foil products in the kit and I made two large clusters and one small cluster to direct the viewer's eyes around the page.

I layered some of the chipboard stickers to create this little grouping.

"Life is Wonderful" | Scrappy Canary May "Sweet Treat" Scrapbook Kit

Today I'm sharing a layout using the May "Sweet Treat" Scrapbook Kit.  It's an 8.5"x11" layout oriented horizontally.  I took one of the patterned papers and cut apart the square that said "Life is..." and then added one of the chipboard pieces to create my title.

I used the gold glitter chipboard hearts and foam glitter hearts around my page, as well as some of the puffy stickers I had leftover from last month's kit.

I added a manila tag, a label and some twine from my stash and machine stitched for some added texture.

Feeling Sketchy | Sketch #118

It's time for a new sketch at Feeling Sketchy and here is Sketch #118.....

Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps and I used one of their images for my card.  I combined it with papers and an embellishment from Simple Stories, a stamped and white heat embossed sentiment from Avery Elle and wooden dots from My Mind's Eye.

My little boy was coloured with Copic Markers and I added some Wink of Stella to little areas for some subtle shimmer.

Scrappy Canary | "I AM" February "Brave" Scrapbook Kit Layout Share

I'm back with another layout share using the February "Brave" Scrapbook Kit and the "Fierce" Embellishment Kit. It's another 8.5"x11" layout- my favourite format at the moment and a great way of making the most of my kit ;-)

I made good use of the 12x12 Sticker sheet from Simple Stories to not only embellish my page, but to create the "story" in place of my own handwritten or typed journalling. 

I loved that these stickers encouraged me to scrap a page about me!

Let's Scrap | International Scrapbooking Day Challenge

Let's Scrap are having a month-long challenge to celebrate International Scrapbooking Day,  BUT the twist is, it is going to run on TWO sites and you have to play along with BOTH sites to be entered to win a prize. There is a card sketch posted on Feeling Sketchy (you don't have to do it up as a card, do a layout if you want) and then there is a double page sketch on Let's Scrap Sketches (you can do it as a single or double page or even a card if you want).

I decided to flip the sketch 90 Deg to the right and to just use a portion to create my single page layout. Here is what I based my layout on.....

Layout Shares | Simple Stories "Good Day Sunshine"

I recently taught a class at Tomorrow's Memories using the "Good Day Sunshine" Collection from Simple Stories and thought I would share them here.  This was one of my favourite releases this year and I have hoarded some in my stash for crapping photos this summer.  My 3x3 class is all about creating three simple layouts using only three sheets of cardstock and three sheets of double-sided patterned paper.

The aim of my 3x3 Class is to build three simple but good-looking layouts simultaneously (and quickly) and to make the most of limited supplies.

Layout Shares | Simple Stories "Hello Baby"

I recently designed layouts for a class for Tomorrow's Memories using the Hello Baby Collection from Simple Stories, and now I can share them here.  

In my classes I share my technique for creating three different layouts at once assembly-line style, using nothing but three sheets of cardstock and three sheets of patterned paper.  I have found that when I scrap at home using this method, I can produce lots of layouts very quickly while getting the most from my supplies.  Yes, they are very simple in design, but they are true to my style and I can get a lot of stories told quickly.

Cut-apart sheets of patterned paper featuring 3x4 journalling cards are really useful for creating grids on layouts.

I also like to fussy-cut images from the journalling cards to create embellishments.
