LPS Colour Challenge #3

We are all so excited about the prize for the new Colour Challenge at Life.Paper.Scrapbook- I wish I could enter!

Globetrotting fashion and scrapbook designer Amy Tan not only loves to mix up the undertakings of her never-boring career and the scenery through her lens, but her scrapbook pages and projects! In this mini workshop, Amy will teach you how to keep your creativity fresh and exciting by mixing up your supplies, photos and projects. Create perfectly-embellished layouts you love when you use Amy’s tips for mixing up your supplies. Give your layouts an unexpected twist when you vary the sizes and edits of the photos you capture. And finally, prevent creative ruts by changing up the projects you tackle. Follow Amy Tan’s lead and get ready to mix it up!

Yes, the Colour Challenge sponsor is Amy Tangerine. The prize is a place in the "Mix it Up with Amy Tan" workshop at Two Peas in a Bucket.

Here is the Challenge.....

I will admit I struggled to find some photos and supplies in my scrapbooking stash to suit this colour palette, but I was easily inspired to make some cards......

For my first card I took some kraft cardstock for my card base, added a slightly smaller turquoise piece and a white piece slightly smaller again.  I then stamped a triangle border from the Mama Elephant Trifecta clear stamp set in a variety of Distress Inks - Stormy Sky, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Evergreen Bough, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Festive Berries. I then stamped my sentiment from Avery Elle Framed Fonts clear stamp set in Versamark ink and white embossed it on kraft, matted it on a turquoise piece and lastly added some twine.

For my next card I used cardstock, inks and patterned paper from Stampin' Up together with their "Something Sweet" stamp set.  The ink colours were Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede.

Please be sure to join in the fun at LPS for a chance to win this awsome prize from Amy Tan!

  2. Wow, those triangles were all stamped?? I am blown away by your stamping work, you are brilliant! I think that one of the comments on the LPS is saying that your cards are inspiring them to make some and I feel the same way, I generally make layouts but your cards are inspiring me to want to get some card bases out LOL
