Kaisercraft "Shine Bright" Layout Shares

I have a couple of layouts to share using "Shine Bright" from Kaisercraft.  It was a new release for February and without a doubt it's my favourite Kaisercraft collection ever.  I could marry this collection.  Seriously.

"Shine Bright" has everything I am loving right now- yellow, black, white, grey with triangles, scripty words, text and bold graphics.

I only had a few sheets of paper to work with but I put them together with a few die-cuts from the Collection Pack, white cardstock for my backgrounds and got to work.

For my first page, I scribbled down some yellow Gelato and blended it out with water to create a watercolour look (super-easy and fun), wound up a blob of white thread which stuck to the wet Gelato, and then built my main foundation layers on top in my usual style.  I bent up the edges of my papers to add some texture and dimension.  I added a paper doily from my stash and some ink splats.....as you do ;-)

My next layout is in 8.5x11" format- one of my favourite sizes to work with- and I created a simple grid which I felt suited the graphic patterns in the papers.  Some ink splats and machine stitching were the only things I added to the papers and die-cuts.

So there's two completely different looks, but still in a style that come easily to me, and I have enough little scraps of paper left to make another page.

I need to get more of this collection before it sells out everywhere!

Webster's Pages "Hall Pass" | Process Video

I recently made some shop samples for Tomorrow's Memories using the gorgeous "Hall Pass" Collection by Adrienne Looman for Webster's Pages and had a few scraps leftover.  Rather than throw them away, I made a very quick page and filmed the process.  Most of you know I am a very simple and quick scrapper so I hope you pick up a couple of tips to help you speed things up!

Here is the finished page.....

And here is how I put it together- you can watch the video here or over at YouTube- thanks for watching!

Kaisercraft "Off the Wall" Layout Video

I had some leftovers from my Tomorrow's Memories samples for Kaisercraft's "Off the Wall" Collection and thought I'd put together a quick page and record the process.

Here is my final layout.....

Here is a video showing how quick and easy this was to put together.....

You can watch it here, or over at YouTube. I hope you enjoy it!

Scrappy Canary | March Sketch Challenge

It's March Sketch Challenge time at Scrappy Canary and I have a layout share using the  "Brave" February Scrapbook Kit and the March Sketch for inspiration.

I love to design layouts using a grid design and I took a very simplistic approach for this page.

I love the gold foil elements on the patterned papers and I added some gold alphas from my stash to match.

This page came together very quickly and I love the clean, symmetrical design.  Be sure to play along with the March Sketch for your chance to win a $10 Voucher to spend in the Scrappy Canary Store.

Feeling Sketchy | Sketch #117

New sketch time at Feeling Sketchy and here is Sketch #117.....

Our sponsor for this challenge is Dr Digi's House of Stamps and I used one of their images to create my Get Well card.....

I used papers from Studio Calico and coloured my image with Copics, adding some Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents for some extra detail.

My sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  Some machine stitching added some texture to my card.

Be sure to pop over to Feeling Sketchy for all the DT projects for this sketch and for all the challenge details.

Feeling Sketchy | International Scrapbooking Day Challenge

Feeling Sketchy are having a month-long challenge to celebrate International Scrapbooking Day,  BUT the twist is, it is going to run on TWO sites and you have to play along with BOTH sites to be entered to win a prize. There is a card sketch posted on Feeling Sketchy (you don't have to do it up as a card, do a layout if you want) and then there is a double page sketch on Let's Scrap Sketches (you can do it as a single or double page or even a card if you want).

Here is the sketch.....

I decided to follow the sketch pretty closely and to play with some in-laid die-cutting.  I used a word die from Lawn Fawn and patterned paper from Stampin' Up.

Be sure to head over to Feeling Sketchy for all the challenge details.

I decided to flip the sketch 90 Deg to the right and to just use a portion to create my single page layout. Here is what I based my layout on.....

I grabbed the Simple Stories Sn@p Life Collection and got to work.....

This was a super-fun sketch to play with- be sure to head to Let's Scrap for all the details of how to play along.
