I'm back with another layout share using the April "Mayfair" Scrapbook Kit. It's an 8.5"x11" page featuring four photos. With so many photos, it is important to keep the design simple, so I simply used patterned paper, a piece from the cut-apart sheet as my title and three clusters of small star embellishments. I also used a label from the free printable sheet that Manda designed for our newsletter subscribers.
I love to use text from these cards for titles and this, although probably designed for a party theme, was perfect for my page.
I used the cork stars and puffy stickers from the kit and added star sequins from my stash.
And of course I couldn't resist adding stitching for subtle texture and to hold everything securely.

I'm back with another layout share using the April "Mayfair" Kit. I've scrapped a rare photo of my big boy and me and I have again used the 8.5"x11" format.
I used some of the chipboard flags and some stickers to create this little cluster in the top right corner of my page.
One of the star clips combined with puffy stickers and a chipboard heart made another cluster at the top left corner of my photo.
I used one of the cut-apart sheets to create my title and layered this on more patterned paper and some of the polkadot transparency.

Today I have a 12x12 layout share using the April "Mayfair" Kit. I decided on a grid-style layout for this two-photo page but I combined my 3x4 photos with two 4x4 squares of patterned papers.
This is a "go-to" style of page for me and it came together in about 15 minutes. Fussy cutting the florals and the machine stitching took a bit of time, but I was happy to do those things to complete the page.
I used the triangle chipboard pieces in the kit to make a small banner and the chipboard tag as a journalling spot.
The foam word stickers made a quick title but I added a splash of colour and filled the space with the chipboard camera.
I cut the red starburst sticker in half and used the two pieces in different areas of the page, hiding the printed text as it didn't really suit my page, but the splash of red did.

I'm back with another 8.5"x11" layout using the April "Mayfair" Kit. I started by adding a little bit of a Distress Ink wash in small areas on my background and then built my page vertically down the right hand side.
I cut apart one of the pattern papers to create my little banner strips- I love to cut papers apart to make embellishments. I added some chipboard pieces from the Echo Park set in the kit and stitched those down with my sewing machine.
I added a scattering of the puffy stickers here and there too....I love the variety of colours in the pack.

I don't often get to join in with challenges but I have been following the Kraft Plus Challenges and have been itching to play along.
This month's theme is "In the Jungle" and this conjured up black, white and orange for me. I also knew I had some scraps of Zebra patterned paper in my stash as well as photos of my eldest son wearing orange.
The Inspiration Photo featured circle shapes as well, so I decided to create a background using leftover "O" Thickers since my son's name is Oliver. I also added black chalkboard paint to a chipboard circle piece to lay under my photo. Some bits and pieces from an older Amy Tangerine collection were the finishing touches.
This was a fun challenge to do and I hope to be able to play along at Kraft Plus again soon.
We have a new sketch to play with at the Feeling Sketchy Challenge Blog and our challenge sponsor is Creative Embellishments.

She has been featured on numerous scrapbooking, challenge and top paper manufacturing websites; as well as, serving on many different design teams. She's also had the honor of having her work published in print magazines and a well-known sketchbook.
Here's Sketch #122.....
I decided to make a background on watercolour paper using a wash of Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. While that dried I stamped the wreath from this stamp set with Ranger Black Archival Ink and die-cut it with the co-ordinating die. I cut an additional two wreaths from white cardstock and layered them all together for extra dimension and durability.
I then applied a very loose wash of Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to the wreath.
I stamped my sentiment from this Prima stamp set in Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink.
The finishing touch was some pink ribbon. I did make this card just before Mother's Day, but this design would translate well to other occasions by simply stamping a different sentiment.
Be sure to head over to the Feeling Sketchy Blog for more inspiration and all the challenge details.
I've got two weeks of PL to share today and they are both double-page layouts. First up is Week 19 and I used the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm Collection which is available from AC Digitals. Although this is not a PL kit, it is not difficult to modify the elements for pocket scrapbooking.
For Week 20 I used the Midnight Edition available from Digital Project Life and I added a circular cut file and a floral cut file from Wilna Furstenberg. I also added a digital stamp by Ali Edwards and a flair button from "Button-It".
Thanks for stopping by!
