30 Days of Lists- The Finished Product

What is 30 Days of Lists?

Not everyone can make a mini scrapbook every week or an art journal page every night.
30 Days of Lists is a challenge to you that you CAN journal just something every day – even something as small as a list.
Every day through the month of March, a list prompt was posted – anything from weekend goals to celebrity crushes. At the end of the 30 days you have a collection of entries creating a small snapshot of your life right now.
30 Days of Lists is a collaboration between Kam of Campfire Chic and Amy of Lemon and Raspberry.
At the start of March I quickly decided to turn my lists into a mini-book.  I had an acrylic album laying around, so I simply cut white cardstock to size, punched some holes and decorated them.  I wanted a unified look to the book so I used patterned papers from Amy TangerineMister Huey's Spray Inks, an assortment of stamps, inkpads and stickers on every page.

Here is my front page.....

Here are the other pages....

The participants presented their lists in a variety of ways and shared them via the usual social media outlets- Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr etc.....if you are interested in looking at some of the other Listers' work, then just look for the hashtag #30lists.
So, to review.....
Was it fun?- YEP
Would I participate again?- FOR SURE!

30 Days of Lists- Getting Set Up For Listing

Hi everyone!  You might remember I talked about participating in 30 Days of Lists this month?

Well,  it's well-underway and I have been happily making lists each day.  What I wanted to share with you today though, is how I am going to compile, decorate, store my lists as I go.

I decided to make a mini-album bound with rings so I could add pages as I go, or to remove pages for decorating.

I found some acrylic album covers hiding in my stash and set about decorating the covers with papers from Amy Tangerine's Sketchbook collection.

I then cut my pages from white cardstock slightly smaller than the album covers, so about 6.75" x 6.75".  I am decorating each page with spray inks, masks, patterned papers from the same range as the cover, stamps and letter stickers.  Here's a look at my pages so far.......

Now I just need to write my lists (which have been written on whatever scraps I have handy at the time) on each page with a black sharpie.  I am loving the creative play with my mini-album just as much as I am enjoying the list-making!  Be sure to join me again soon when I reveal some more of my 30 Days of Lists mini-album :-)

30 Days of Lists

I am  a big fan of challenges. I participate in papercraft challenges all the time.   But my favorite challenge at the moment started on March 1st– 30 Days of Lists.

Like Project Life, this is another opportunity to record YOUR STORY.  30 Days of Lists is a challenge to yourself that you CAN journal something every day- even something as quick and simple as a list.

How does it work? Every day through the month of March 2013, a list prompt will be posted in the private blog. At the end of the 30 days you’ll have a collection of entries creating a small snapshot of your life right now. Only 5-10 minutes per day are required to get the job done-  While you’re waiting in line at the bank, riding on the train or waiting for the kids to get out of school.

Why take part? Because it’s fun. Because the  community of listers is awesome and becomes even better every session (this is the 6th one!). Because it will get you thinking about simple ways to tell your story.  Because you will have 31 new prompts of things to scrapbook about. Because it's fun.  (Yes, I know I said that already.)

It's not too late to start listing and sharing your lists via TwitterPinterest and Flickr. You can also look for #30lists on Instagram for lots of fun photos of lists.

Throughout March I will be sharing my lists and hopefully incorporating them somehow into my Project Life Pages.  I will also start to share them soon on Instagram and you can follow me here.
