Just Add Ink #141

It's a colour challenge this week at Just Add Ink.

I usually reach for  brighter colours so these soft hues were certainly a challenge for me.  The Woodgrain embossing folder and Papillon Potpourri stamp set made another appearance- they keep popping up in my cards lately :-)

Here's a closer look at the Butterfly.  I stamped it first on the Vanilla circle, then punched it out of patterned paper, then stamped and punched it again from Wisteria Wonder cardstock before layering them together and gently separating their wings.  I love this simple way to add dimension.

Despite the challenges I faced with these colours, I really enjoyed trying something new!

  1. Lovely use of the challenge colours Louise! The pop of Wisteria against the Vanilla woodgrain really draws the focus....a very pretty card!
