Just Add Ink #139

The challenge over at Just Add Ink this week is to use something new and at the moment I'm loving my new stamp set from Stampin' Up called Papillon Potpourri and their Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  I couldn't resist buying the co-ordinating punch as well, so I was able to quickly punch the butterflies out after stamping and pop them up on foam dots for dimension.  I also used Stampin' Up inks in Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze and So Saffron and I really like this colour combination against the Kraft cardstock.

It was back to school for Master 6 today and although I love the school holidays and not having to rush in the mornings, I crave the routine the school term brings.  The return to school also meant it was back to craft group for Master 2 and me, and since I am in the Needlework group I played around with some embroidery on cardstock.  The image I used was a bit too detailed for a good result so next time I will try something simpler and if successful, I will share the result with you.

  1. Louise, this is really lovely. The colours you've used look great with the Crumb Cake background, and I like the strip of paper across the card. Papillon Potpourri, the punch, and the woodgrain embossing folder, were amongst my "must haves" too - gorgeous, aren't they? Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week!

  2. Beautiful Louise! Your combination of texture and crumbcake cardstock make the perfect backdrop for the lovely pop of colour the butterflies add.
